Public bug reported:

within minutes system is out of CPU cycles and Memory. After a few
hours of no active use, but staying logged in with firefox active, disks
are churning and not able to type, nor does cursor move. System is
locked up, must power off and reboot.

At times soon after reboot, I have found 9 firfox processes active, yet
only two firefox widows are active, each with five tabs.

Could it be that inactive tabs are still running, as if a user could see
their content? Some news web sties are now poping up video windows that
automatically start playing.

Only the processes supporting the visible tab(s) should be active. All
other processes should go to sleep by setting a lower process priority
so they go dormant and are swapped out.

Stop memory utilization from growing and growing and growing. Bloatware
is bad.
