Has anyone tried this (or confirmed that they already have network-manager-pptp-gnome and network-manager-openvpn-gnome installed)? It has fixed it for me, I suspect that is an issue with the upgrader. A fresh install of 18.04 has it, but my upgraded system did not. I do see, though, that one person with the problem has already got it installed so maybe there is more than one issue here.
