Public bug reported: If I try to switch to intel mode on my Zenbook Pro UX550 and then reboot, I end up without a graphical session. GDM does not start even if it seems to be trying to for many times. I see a systemd message that the dGPU could not be switched off. Also, I get a flickery screen on TTYs until GDM gives up with the screen alternating between the TTY and the systemd textual log. Once that stops flashing I manage to prime-select nvidia and reboot cleanly. This is certianly better than before the update but it does not fix the situation fully. I am using bionic with all updates applied. --- ProblemType: Bug ApportVersion: 2.20.9-0ubuntu7.3 Architecture: amd64 CurrentDesktop: GNOME Dependencies:
