@Sebastian: I consider Arch fast since it takes 20 seconds to load Gnome using that. It takes 37 seconds using Ubuntu, so something is slowing Ubuntu down.
No, I'm not using deskbar, it is simply too slow to load. Also, it does not make sense to compare your load times with mine, since I'm using an old laptop.
