In 18.04, this has become the default behaviour of the calculator. If
the snap directory is removed, it appears again when the calculator is
opened. So this affects the default installation of Ubuntu, and the
gnome-calc project too.

This is *very* bad design, and bad public release policy. It should not
be a default, and it should not be the default in a stable release of
Ubuntu.
