** Description changed: When I connect a Bluetooth device, sound is automatically forwarded to the device but volume controls still control the internal sound card device. I must open the sound settings and click on the Bluetooth output device to use volume controls. I wish that the volume controls would automatically control whatever output device is actually active. :) This bug has existed for many versions of Ubuntu now. + --- + ApportVersion: 2.20.1-0ubuntu2.18 + Architecture: amd64 + CurrentDesktop: Unity + DistroRelease: Ubuntu 16.04 + EcryptfsInUse: Yes + InstallationDate: Installed on 2016-07-25 (746 days ago) + InstallationMedia: Ubuntu 16.04.1 LTS "Xenial Xerus" - Release amd64 (20160719) + InterestingModules: btusb bluetooth + MachineType: TOSHIBA TECRA R950 + Package: pulseaudio + PackageArchitecture: amd64 + ProcKernelCmdLine: BOOT_IMAGE=/boot/vmlinuz-4.4.0-130-generic root=UUID=c7679e9c-34aa-4c9b-8e58-05ec7b8e4f63 ro quiet splash vt.handoff=7 + ProcVersionSignature: Ubuntu 4.4.0-130.156-generic 4.4.134 + Tags: xenial + Uname: Linux 4.4.0-130-generic x86_64 + UpgradeStatus: No upgrade log present (probably fresh install) + UserGroups: adm cdrom dialout dip libvirtd lpadmin plugdev sambashare sudo vboxusers video + _MarkForUpload: True + dmi.bios.date: 10/01/2012 + dmi.bios.vendor: TOSHIBA + dmi.bios.version: Version 6.40 + dmi.board.asset.tag: 0000000000 + dmi.board.name: TECRA R950 + dmi.board.vendor: TOSHIBA + dmi.board.version: Version A0 + dmi.chassis.asset.tag: 0000000000 + dmi.chassis.type: 10 + dmi.chassis.vendor: TOSHIBA + dmi.chassis.version: Version 1.0 + dmi.modalias: dmi:bvnTOSHIBA:bvrVersion6.40:bd10/01/2012:svnTOSHIBA:pnTECRAR950:pvrPT530U-00T007:rvnTOSHIBA:rnTECRAR950:rvrVersionA0:cvnTOSHIBA:ct10:cvrVersion1.0: + dmi.product.name: TECRA R950 + dmi.product.version: PT530U-00T007 + dmi.sys.vendor: TOSHIBA + hciconfig: + hci0: Type: BR/EDR Bus: USB + BD Address: C8:F7:33:2D:6B:6B ACL MTU: 310:10 SCO MTU: 64:8 + UP RUNNING + RX bytes:580 acl:0 sco:0 events:31 errors:0 + TX bytes:368 acl:0 sco:0 commands:30 errors:0 + mtime.conffile..etc.bluetooth.main.conf: 2018-05-24T08:46:03.060208 + upstart.bluetooth.override: manual ** Attachment added: "CurrentDmesg.txt" https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1228263/+attachment/5174165/+files/CurrentDmesg.txt -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1228263 Title: Volume control doesn't work automatically when connecting Bluetooth device.
