In final version of Kubuntu 7.10 I still can't find any floppy disk
icon in any place !

I can mount the floppy disk ONLY in a terminal. After mounting with
sudo mount /dev/fd0 /mnt/

the only way to write to the floppy is:
sudo konqueror
(working with a files with the root privileges is dangerous)

Is Kubuntu a user friendly distro?

Only advanced user can use the floppy disk !

Windows 95 in 1995 used floppy disk but Linux Kubuntu in 2007 still
can't do it?

For my grandmother I probable install (in KDE) Nautilus from Gnome. It
have the floppy disk icon to mount/umount this device. But KDE+Nautilus
is not a Kubuntu CD. Kubuntu CD is useless for beginers!
