After the installation of Ubuntu 7.10: In Help-> check for updates, the option shows gray and it cannot be pressed. Same under Edit-> Preferences -> Advanced -> Update. My active version under Ubuntu is 2.0.0.8 and my UPDATED version under Windows is 2.0.0.9. Thus, I anticipate that Firefox will not be automatically updated by Ubuntu 7.10 through the System Update Mechanism.
