Public bug reported: The version of fence_vmware_soap included with fence-agents 4.0.22 has an --ssl-insecure option intended to make it work with hosts using self- signed SSL certificates, but it does not actually work. In the process of trying to figure out why I couldn't use a VMware ESX host with a self-signed SSL certificate, I found this fairly recent patch upstream that fixes this:
https://github.com/ClusterLabs/fence-agents/pull/119/files I confirmed that building and installing the 4.2.1 version of fence- agents fixes the problem, and allows me to use VMware hosts with self- signed SSL certificates. It would be really nice for the version of fence-agents packaged by Ubuntu to be updated. The latest version also includes a fence_vmware_rest agent which seems to have better performance. ** Affects: pcs (Ubuntu) Importance: Undecided Status: New -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1781680 Title: fence_vmware_soap plugin's --ssl-insecure option does not work in this version To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/pcs/+bug/1781680/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list [email protected] https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
