backed up all the important data that I want/need to save from my
laptop. I just recently received this laptop as a hand-me-down. It used
to be a laptop that was used in a business lease, and it ran windows for
its entire life. I installed gobuntu as soon as I received it and ran
into this information about load cycle count a day or two after the
install, and that is when I found out that my hdd is about to fail. It
will be interesting to see where this goes, I do have backups of my data
and a spare hdd from my old laptop, so worst case scenario is I have to
grab the old one and re-install after this one takes a dump, but it
would be nice to have a permanent fix to this problem. Once again, thank
you."
