Public bug reported: Binary package hint: update-manager
Today I was able to boot the first time with the "new" kernel 2.6.17-7-generic (after fixing a bug with wrong grub entry). After that boot update-manager told me to run a dist upgrade. Don't know if that had anything to do with the new kernel or just by accident. I run the dist upgrade (from within update-manager). It stopped with an error message "Could not install '/var/cache/apt/archives/phyton- apt_0.6.19ubuntu5_i386.dev'. New pre-removal script returned error code 1. ** Affects: update-manager (Ubuntu) Importance: Untriaged Status: Unconfirmed -- dist-upgrade failed https://launchpad.net/bugs/61741 -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
