It looks like we should be able to perform a "Reverse" bisect to find
the commit that fixes this in 4.17.  We first need to identify the last
bad kernel version and the first good one.  Using your matrix in comment
#4, can you test the following:

v4.16-rc1: http://kernel.ubuntu.com/~kernel-ppa/mainline/v4.16-rc1/
v4.16 Final: http://kernel.ubuntu.com/~kernel-ppa/mainline/v4.16/
v4.17-rc1: http://kernel.ubuntu.com/~kernel-ppa/mainline/v4.17-rc1/
