You are booting in bios mode and trying to install grub to a disk that
is partitioned with GPT. This requires you to create a 1 mb bios_grub
partition on the disk.

Title:
Problem formating a disk drive. I did the long formated with the disk
tool and it failed. I then ran fdisk as root and pationed it as no
pations and ran the install ubuntu 18.04 and it failed to install
boot loader
