Public bug reported: I'm doing a clean install of KUbuntu 18.04, on a Dell Precision M6800 machine. During installation, "tap-to-click" action on the touchpad did not work. It also did not work in the KDE environment after the installation. Further search showed that "xserver-xorg-input-synaptics" package is not installed, and installing it has fixed my issue.
It would be nice to have this enabled by default in the installer as well as in the installed system. ** Affects: ubiquity (Ubuntu) Importance: Undecided Status: New -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1773146 Title: xserver-xorg-input-synaptics is not installed by default To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/ubiquity/+bug/1773146/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
