Public bug reported: I am aware that the linrunner ppa doesn't yet target Bionic, but I am running the tlp version distributed with bionic and have the ppa configured for any future updates.
According to... https://github.com/evgeni/tp_smapi/issues/14#issuecomment-7801094 The tpacpi-bat workaround targeting models like my Thinkpad X230 is rolled up in tlp since 0.3.7. Nevertheless, even having installed TLP 1.1-2 from the Bionic repository, and rebooted, I had my power indicator flashing between "Power Manager Your battery is fully-charged" and "Power Manager Your battery is charging" every second. I also had to run... sudo tlp setcharge 85 93 BAT0 ...to override whatever defaults were configured. Is there supposed to be an automated behaviour to configure this, or is it down to the user to find this command?
