I guess that on the other machine there is no hardware graphics acceleration, so "--indirect-rendering" is on by default. hmmm or vice versa :) or maybe one machine does not have an nvidia chip, and thus no nvidia driver, which seems to be the weak link of the whole situation. But anyhow 60Mb at start-up seem a lot.
