Andreas, nvidia on my notebook is enabled and working properly. It is not disabled.
Currently I only one option enabled for GRUB_CMDLINE_LINUX_DEFAULT in /etc/default/grub : GRUB_CMDLINE_LINUX_DEFAULT="splash" I do not have /etc/X11/xorg.conf file. If you backup file /etc/X11/xorg.conf, remove it and reboot laptop, does it help ? I have disabled wayland in /etc/gdm3/custom.conf with option (uncomment option in file): WaylandEnable=false What is prime-select query output ? - on my notebook it returns nvidia $ prime-select query nvidia -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1752053 Title: nvidia-390 fails to boot graphical display To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/mesa/+bug/1752053/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
