Xfce sets the xsetting for monospace font, but Gtk+3 ignores it:

Gdk-Message: 23:32:18.664:   Gtk/MonospaceFontName = "Monospace 9.5"
Gdk-Message: 23:32:18.664:     ==> unknown to GTK

So Gtk+3 doesn't have any way to get the monospace font from xsettings,
contrary to what I was told on IRC. :(
