Hi, I instaled the candidate version 2006.07.09+dfsg1-5 using apt-get install. As I stated before, it didn't work. I solved the problem manually installing the desired pkgs using the tar.gz's available at octave-forge's page. However, I think it would be interesting to have the new version at the repositories!
