@flar: Because of the bug of Gnome Power Manager and other bugs which the Gnome panel has (like moving objects on the panel - it's like in a disco ;), I switched to KDE until these things get fixed. There the power manager suspends to RAM and resume works, too. There is still a problem that after about 3 times Suspend to RAM I can't resume any more - that bug is there since 7.04.
