This issue affecting me too, just as others have said here. I have a new system lubuntu 16.04, and running mythtv.

May 2 09:18:18 tvbox kernel: [157162.782974] ds3000_firmware_ondemand: Waiting for firmware upload(2)... Everything works, although it does take some time for the tuner to change channels and I can't say if the firmware (or lack of it) is affecting this. I would love to see some resolution or workaround for this.
