I had the same problem today for the version 0.99.7.1-5ubuntu1. ProblemType: Package Date: Sun Oct 28 17:42:02 2007 ErrorMessage: ErrorMessage: subprocess post-installation script killed by signal (Aborted), core dumped Package: libpam0g SourcePackage: pam
I left the upgrade unattended and did not intervene with it. Because of the a lot of other packages could not be installed: login, base-files, bash, passwd, adduser, fuse-utils, ssl-cert, cupsys, dbus. In the end the update manager crashed leaving a half installed system. I could manage running "apt-get update" and "dpkg-configure -a", but had to deal with some further problems because of the crashed update manager, like switching /sbin/update-grup to /usr/sbin/update-grup in /etc/kernel- img.conf and removing emvs from my system by hand and /dev/null problems. sandoz -- package libpam0g 0.99.7.1-4ubuntu1 failed to install/upgrade: dependency problems - leaving unconfigured https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/139078 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is the bug contact for Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
