I came across this bug post while trying to find out what exactly the
User Folders Update service does. As it still has No Description after
installing Gutsy from the release version from, 10/18/07, I am still
wondering what it does.

I have been trying to figure out why my Core 2 Duo CPU freezes up while
in normal operation. I thought about how the Beagle service took a
lesser amount of CPU after disabling it when I installed Feisty some
time ago and have done nearly the same with the Tracker service in
Gutsy. If the User Folders Update service performs indexing with the
intensity that Beagle and/or the Tracker services do I would like to
disable it. However, if the User Folders Update service is required for
Fast User Switching then I will leave it alone. At this point I am just
trying to whittle away at what could be the culprit.

Any ideas would be appreciated even if it is to explain what the User
Folders Update service does.

Thank you,

Jimmy
