I tried creating a partition with the type code of 42 and the installer
does not think it is a swap partition. This makes sense given that the
installer uses parted to partition the disks, and it does not care about
partition type codes, or know about type 42. The installer does not
care about the partition type code, but rather that the partition is
actually formatted as swap. After running mkswap on the partition, the
installer detected it as swap. It does not give the option to format or
not to format, but it does have the option to use as "do not use this
partition". Also when it is formatted, it happens very quickly because
only the swap signature is written. So I can't seem to reproduce this
at all.
