Public bug reported: I'm using the latest beta for Ubuntu 18.04 Bionic. I'm testing the ability to compile and test some of our code.
With cppcheck 1.82, there is a known issue where the error code for the application may be wrong. This was introduced into 1.82 and has since been fixed in 1.83. The details for it can be found at https://github.com/danmar/cppcheck/pull/1026. With using this version, it becomes difficult to use cppcheck because one has to either fix all the affected issues or ignore all errors. It would be better to use a different release of cppcheck, either 1.80, 1.81, or 1.83, for the 18.04 release of Ubuntu. ** Affects: cppcheck (Ubuntu) Importance: Undecided Status: New -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1763841 Title: cppcheck 1.82 reports errors that should be suppressed To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/cppcheck/+bug/1763841/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
