Thanks for the bug report. Its probably not related to the bug you linked (although exhibits a similar symptom). I add this comment to ensure no one marks this as a duplicate un-necessarily.
The problem here is GPU lockup. I'm wondering if there is anything else we can narrow down with this bug... Can it ever be triggered by pressing the "video" button on the laptop? Does it only manifest with dual-screens? Does playing the video full screen leave video on one screen, but blue on the other? (I'm trying to figure out if the video overlay hardware is being used). Thinking out loud, I'm condidering the possibility of a crash when the XV overlay jumps from the laptop monitor to the external screen (which it does on my system when making video playback fullscreen). ** Changed in: xserver-xorg-video-intel (Ubuntu) Status: New => Incomplete ** Summary changed: - xorg crashes when leaving video player's fullscreen + xorg crashes when leaving video player's fullscreen (945GM) -- xorg crashes when leaving video player's fullscreen (945GM) https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/157696 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is the bug contact for Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
