I don't understand the argument that this is only "on batteries". I generally have my laptop plugged in, and my counts are increasing astronomically (the once every 5-6 seconds thing). It doesn't seem to make a difference whether it's plugged in or not.
I'm switching back to Windows until this is fixed...if anybody wants any info from my system, let me know and i'll reboot into it.
