Is there any way of resolving this problem? Why is JUnit4 disabled, and
pretty much broken, in Ubuntu? The version of JUnit that comes with
Ubuntu's Eclipse, version 3.8.1, is from 2002, 5 years ago. Why won't
Ubuntu allow the use of a newer version?

I have tried to copy the JUnit installation from my Windows installation
into my Linux's installation, which didn't help. Manually installing
JUnit 4.4 from junit.org causes Eclipse to show that "an internal error
ocurred during "launching" ".

Is there any way of using JUnit4 in Ubuntu Gutsy Gibbon?
