Binary package hint: update-manager
Hello,
I properly installed Kubuntu 7.10 desktop amd64 and rebooted into the
new environment.
The update notifier poped up and I installed the proposed updates.
After all the updates are installed, the update manager tells me there
is a newer version.
I accept the upgrade and a windows pops up: "Distribution upgrade".
On the step "preparation of the update" (translated from french message
"préparation de la mise à jour"),
I got the following error message:
"Failed to lock /var/lib/apt/lists/lock".
Then I clicked on close and the upgrade stopped.
