Public bug reported: With the change in Queens https://review.openstack.org/#/c/470017/, the old-style format of nic config yaml files (using os-apply-config) will no longer be supported. This format has been deprecated since Ocata. A check should be added in the yaml file validation to detect that old- style nic config files are being used in the plan and, if so, list a script that can be used to convert the file to the new style.
If a Queens deployment is done using the old-style nic config files it will fail and it will be difficult and time-consuming to detect the failure and determine how to convert the files. ** Affects: tripleo-heat-templates (Ubuntu) Importance: Undecided Assignee: Bob Fournier (bfournie) Status: New ** Changed in: tripleo-heat-templates (Ubuntu) Assignee: (unassigned) => Bob Fournier (bfournie) -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1753812 Title: Check nic config files for old-style format To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/tripleo-heat-templates/+bug/1753812/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
