Are both these bugs related to the arch? I'm on a fresh install from an alt CD (ubuntustudio i386) and wengo has reproduced the big windows from the get go for me. Like https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/149491 I have a problem with the configuration window which always goes off the screen on a 1280x800 display and cannot be resized under metacity or compiz. Moving to get to the bottom is often hit and miss too but that's the wm respecting the gnome panel.
