Public bug reported:

Binary package hint: network-manager

This happens on Gutsy Gibbon.

I have WEP encrypted wireless at home, and usually suspend my Dell
Latitude D820 laptop when I leave for work. During the train ride I
sometimes work with the laptop. I don't have usable wireless access
point to connect to on the train. When I once again open the lid at work
I get greeted with a black screen. The only way to recover is to power
off. This used to work with Dapper Drake.

Together with bug 157479 and bug 157483 this makes wireless and suspend
quite brittle on my system.

I've written more about this system here:

** Affects: network-manager (Ubuntu)
     Importance: Undecided
         Status: New
