Public bug reported:

Binary package hint: mplayer

Just to show the version and video output support, I'm pasting the results of
"mplayer -vo help"...

Under feisty, I had subsequently installed the svga libraries (on the off
chance that some kind of missing
dependency was the reason that it was not listed) to no avail.

While I assume this will be filed as a wishlist item, it seems that it should
carry a bit more weight than that.
I'm not saying this just because it's my pet bug or anything, rather, this has
been an issue since (at least) feisty
and more importantly, the package description specifically lists it as an
output option.

Was there a specific reason that svgalib output was excluded?
