Yes, it is still a bug.  The login/logout is not the only case that is
affected by this problem - when I am logged in as myself and I run a
nautilus window as root, it does not exit normally.  I have to kill the
process manually after closing the nautilus window.

I don't know anything about the way Nautilus is coded, but the 2 cases
where this problem occurs suggest to me that nautilus expects some
service to be running as it is exiting, and if that service isn't
running - the process hangs and eats up all the CPU.
