I can confirm that this is not fixed in kernel v4.15-rc1. I can see the device:
--- $ cat /sys/bus/thunderbolt/devices/0-1/device_name Thunderbolt to FireWire Adapter --- .. but it doesn't show up in lspci, and it doesn't look like drivers can bind to it (I'm trying with libffado). Cold- or hotplugging makes no difference, the result is the same. ** Tags added: kernel-bug-exists-upstream ** Changed in: linux (Ubuntu) Status: Incomplete => Confirmed -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1726299 Title: Apple Thunderbolt 2 to FireWire adapter not working To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/linux/+bug/1726299/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
