Public bug reported: i don't watch heaps, but enough that xorg has frozen up on me about 3 times in the last week both in vlc and youtube. This time in particular it was playing youtube when it froze, the sound played on a bit further then it stopped too, the mouse was still able to move the cursor but nothing else, for example usually merely moving the mouse would shift the border highlight to the newly focused window, but even that wouldn't happen when it froze up. i logged in via ssh and invoked ubuntu-bug xorg. then after that i used the ssh session to kill my window manager, twm, which caused the xorg session to logout.
