Public bug reported:

The OpenSesame package in Ubuntu is currently on version 0.27, which the
release notes for 0.27.4 (http://osdoc.cogsci.nl/3.1/notes/0274/) would
suggest is at least four years old. The release on the developer website
(http://osdoc.cogsci.nl/3.1/download/#ubuntu) is currently at 3.1.9.

I work with this package and have found that users are confused by this,
they do a simple 'apt install opensesame' and get something that won't
run any current experiment files. It also shows Ubuntu in a bad light to
keep around a package which is that out of date.

I suggest that this package be removed as there are several official,
supported channels available and shown on the developer's site -- a PPA,
pip install, and an Anaconda package.

If there's any concern about removing a package which may be in use,
perhaps it could be renamed to something like opensesame-legacy.

** Affects: opensesame (Ubuntu)
     Importance: Undecided
         Status: New
