Public bug reported: I tried installing Ubuntu's latest stable version as on Dec 31st 2017, with Long Term Support. However, the installation has failed and I get Error no.5 Input/Output Error. The error message also says that the USB drive may be corrupted or something to this effect. I think the drive is perfectly fine, maybe the iso file did not mount correctly onto the drive. What can I do to get out of this loop.
