Sorry this was not intended to happen:

So this should also work:
 *make a Bootable USBStick of Ubuntu 17.10
 *disable SecureBoot in BIOS (but better read Documentation before doing so)
 *choose Try Ubuntu when u are ask and the Touchpad should work 

Ubuntu 17.10 has a lot of Advantages over 16.04 when using the Medion p2214t 
like 
 * preinstalled rotating 
 * preinstalled touchscreen keyboard
 
The Other solution on Ubuntu 16.04 without disabling SecureBoot would be a much 
more complicated since your would have to do kernal signing in order to get 
your new kernel module singed properly
