** Tags added: apport-collected ** Description changed: Since my upgrade to ubuntu 17.10 (and therefore usage of gnome-shell instead of unity), I have regular crashes of gnome-shell where I return to the login screen. I don't have a reproduction scenario, it appears to happen at random times, sometimes multiple times a day when some other days everything is fine.
