Public bug reported: Log into an install of lubuntu-next and then there are no applets in the panel it is just a black bar. lubuntu-default-settings: Installed: 0.50 Candidate: 0.50 Version table: *** 0.50 500 500 http://us.archive.ubuntu.com/ubuntu bionic/universe amd64 Packages 500 http://us.archive.ubuntu.com/ubuntu bionic/universe i386 Packages 100 /var/lib/dpkg/status Description: Ubuntu Bionic Beaver (development branch) Release: 18.04
I expected to login to lubuntu next with a menu on the left a taskbar and at least a clock. Instead lubuntu-next had no applets on it so new users could be completely confused on how to launch any application.
