Public bug reported: I use "gzip -d" or "gunzip" to extract build logs to update the symbols. For example:
wget https://launchpad.net/~kubuntu- ci/+archive/ubuntu/unstable/+build/13749931/+files/buildlog_ubuntu- bionic- amd64.kf5-messagelib_4%3A17.11.80+p18.04+git20171119.2017-0_BUILDING.txt.gz gunzip buildlog_ubuntu-bionic- amd64.kf5-messagelib_4\:17.11.80+p18.04+git20171119.2017-0_BUILDING.txt.gz However, on Bionic this last command fails with: gzip: buildlog_ubuntu-bionic- amd64.kf5-messagelib_4:17.11.80+p18.04+git20171119.2017-0_BUILDING.txt.gz: not in gzip format The same file extracts on other systems, just not Bionic 18.04 ** Affects: gzip (Ubuntu) Importance: Medium Status: New ** Changed in: gzip (Ubuntu) Importance: Undecided => Medium -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1733398 Title: gunzip fails with message : not in gzip format To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/gzip/+bug/1733398/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
