Public bug reported: After suffering a login-loop bug (which I fixed with "mv .Xauthority .Xauthority.bak") my screen settings disappeared.
When I attempted to reset them I could no-longer access my Display Settings. Instead of my normal display settings I got: Could not get screen information ProblemType: Bug DistroRelease: Ubuntu 17.10 Package: gnome-control-center 1:3.26.1-0ubuntu5 ProcVersionSignature: Ubuntu 4.13.0-16.19-generic 4.13.4 Uname: Linux 4.13.0-16-generic x86_64 ApportVersion: 2.20.7-0ubuntu3.4 Architecture: amd64 CurrentDesktop: Unity:Unity7:ubuntu Date: Mon Nov 20 12:07:14 2017 InstallationDate: Installed on 2017-04-17 (216 days ago) InstallationMedia: Ubuntu 16.10 "Yakkety Yak" - Release amd64 (20161012.2) ProcEnviron: LANGUAGE=en_GB:en PATH=(custom, no user) XDG_RUNTIME_DIR=<set> LANG=en_GB.UTF-8 SHELL=/bin/bash SourcePackage: gnome-control-center UpgradeStatus: Upgraded to artful on 2017-10-23 (28 days ago) ** Affects: gnome-control-center (Ubuntu) Importance: Undecided Status: New ** Tags: amd64 apport-bug artful -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1733318 Title: Displays -> Could not get screen information To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/gnome-control-center/+bug/1733318/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
