Same happens with Virtualbox 5.2.0 r118431 (Qt5.6.1) running on a Ubuntu 14.04 host with Gnome 3.12.2.
The workaround is to press the host key first, and then you can move your guest window, resize the screen, etc. Note that you can only do 1 operation at a time; when you release your mouse button the guest auto- captures the keyboard + mouse, so you need to press the host key again if you want to do something else (like increase the viewport, after moving the window). It's a bit disorientating to not be able to move the window freely, particularly for someone coming from a VMWare background, but works fine. -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1673463 Title: VirtualBox grabs focus, causing issues in GNOME Shell and Unity (other DEs might be affected too) To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/virtualbox/+bug/1673463/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
