I was able to get this working by additionally installing "dmsetup". If
you make "dmsetup" a dependency for the "tcplay" package, we are all
set.

Title:
  tcplay hangs at the device mapper stage. This happens in 16.04 LTS
  version of xubuntu (32 bit and 64 bit) and ubuntu (64bit). This makes
  tcplay containers not accessible.
