Hmm, there aren't any indications in the Xorg.0.log file as to why totem might be hanging, but that's not entirely a surprise since it's a totem hang rather than an X hang.
Could you please get a backtrace at the point of freeze to see where it's stopping? There's some resources online to explain how to get application backtraces: https://wiki.ubuntu.com/DebuggingProgramCrash https://wiki.ubuntu.com/Backtrace It might also be worthwhile to run it through strace and post that output. E.g. strace totem ... > totem_strace.log and then upload that file. Also, please look in the end of .xsession_errors to see if any totem or video related errors are posted there, and if so upload that file as well. ** Changed in: xserver-xorg-video-intel (Ubuntu) Status: New => Incomplete -- Can not play video, totem hangs https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/155704 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is the bug contact for Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
