After removing xorg.conf and rebooting. After the boot splash screen it
showed the command line screen of the boot up procedure. Xorg then tries
to start several times (3-5) before it gives up. Also no new xorg.conf
file is generated, but two failsafe file are generated
'xorg.conf.failsafe' and 'xorg.conf.failsafe.bak' which have the same
contents.

xorg.conf"
