I have the same problem. From time to time my Ubuntu 7.10 freezes at random point (ctrl-alt-del, switching to tty, or sysrq+REISUB don't work). My uname -a: Linux kleczu-laptop 2.6.22-14-generic #1 SMP Sun Oct 14 23:05:12 GMT 2007 i686 GNU/Linux
