It would be great if the changes could also be upstreamed to:

https://github.com/docker/docker-ce

So that the people using the Docker website instructions and repository
also don't need to pull down python2 as a dependency.

The no python2 by default effort for 16.04 seems to have lost most of
its momentum.  Is this no longer a priority for Canonical for Ubuntu?
While the 16.04 goal has long since passed, there is another opportunity
to clean up the repos for 18.04.
