Public bug reported:

Steps to Reproduce:
1. Launch software-properties-gtk on Ubuntu 17.10 (Xorg)
2. Select "Other Software" tab
3. Click on checkmark to the left of any PPA (e.g. Ubuntu Partners)

Current Behaviour:
When clicking the checkmark to enable or disable a PPA, the window becomes
inactive (greyed out). Clicking on the title bar bring the window back into
focus.

Expected Behaviour:
A password prompt should pop up. Then, the PPA should be enabled/disabled when
clicking the button.

Repro Rate: 90%
In 17.04, after a while, this started working on its own.
In 17.10, it won't work.

Notes:
>From my memory, this has been happening at least since Ubuntu GNOME 17.04, and
>is happening in 17.10.
Workaround: gksu software-properties-gtk does the trick.
It seems the issue is that software-properties-gtk doesn't trigger the password
prompt.
